Steve Smith starting shooting in the music business in Los Angeles in 1976. He’s shot thousands of national editorial, corporate & advertising assignments; was chief photographer for the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee; and has produced extensive lifestyle stock photography.

His assignment work has appeared in “People”, "Time", "Rolling Stone", “Men’s Journal”, “Life”, "Fortune", "Forbes", "Business Week and “The New York Times Magazine”. Among the celebrities that Steve has photographed on assignment are: Sir Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessical Parker, Vivica Fox, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Matthew Perry.

In 1994 Steve moved from his family from Venice, CA to Sun Valley, ID.Commuting between L.A. and Sun Valley wore thin so in 2002 Steve relocated to Boise, ID to open his current studio.

Jeane Gadd-Smith spent years providing production services through her company Jeane Gadd Production Services. Clients creating ad campaigns for companies such as Chevrolet, Pillsbury, Columbia Sportswear, McDonalds, and Marlboro, hired Jeane for her skills with propping, styling, wardrobing, make-up artistry, and art direction.

Jeane started working with Steve in 1997. As luck would have it, they realized they made a great team – both professionally and personally, fell in love, married, and now Jeane devotes her skills to Steve’s photography business.

Ray Gadd’s strong visual skills, degree in marketing from BSU, and love of contemporary culture make him a potent addition to the team as our Associate Photographer. Ray also assists on larger productions by staging lighting, preparing equipment, and serving as a digital tech during sessions. Additionally, Ray manages our digital post-production processes including image retouching, website uploading, and large-format printing.
